These new rugs have been 20 years in the making and are designed to fit a dynamic body. Where previously the older generation of rugs have been limited in design, these rugs actually fit the lines of the equine form.

All Horseware Turnouts are fully Waterproof and Breathable using a revolutionary Hydrophilic coating technology called AQUATRANS which has been developed uniquely by Horseware®.

The AQUATRANS Hydrophilic coating is a solid continuous barrier applied directly to the fabric therefore it has very high adhesion properties - If cared for properly your Rambo® Turnout should stay waterproof for years and years! AQUATRANS coating allows, on average, 3 litres of water per square metre per 24 hours to escape. This is known as the Moisture Vapour Transmission Rate or MVTR. All Horseware® Turnouts with fill use THERMOBONDED fibre. When your horse rolls and attempts to flatten his rug the fibre will get squashed but when he gets up the THERMOBONDED fibre will regain its original structure and thickness. This is important as it is the loft of the fibre that determines how warm your horses' rug is and not just the weight. This is because it is the air that circulates around the horse that keeps him warm and so the thinner the fibre the less air can circulate between the horse and the outer of his rug. This technology has allowed us to offer you the very best possible horserugs available especially in Australia's extreme weather conditions. An average sized horse rug will allow the horse to perspire up to 9 litres (2 gallons) of sweat per day.
